Holly Ridge Manor was one of the first doggie daycare facilities in the Hampton Roads area. We are proud to be the largest and best doggie daycare around. We are located on a beautiful 60 acre farm in Pungo Virginia Beach. We are a family run business. Debbie Burroughs had a dream to make dogs happy, to have a place for them to run, play, swim, and forget that their parents are at work. Well with the help of her family that dream was made possible. Dogs who come to doggie daycare enjoy one on one time. group play time, swimming, and playing in our huge play yards.
People bring their loved dogs to daycare for several reasons. At daycare they know their dog will receive constant love and attention, get a tremendous amount of exercise, and be allowed to learn important doggie social skills. Many customers have young dogs that may require more time outside for potty reasons and exercise, so they bring them to us rather than leaving them at home where they could get bored, destroy the house, or hurt themself. People who live in apartments or condominiums also use daycare to give their dogs exercise. Some owners are busy professionals that want their pet to receive attention. When they come home from an exhausting day they want their pet to be exhausted also.
Prior to being admitted to doggie daycare, both dogs and owners will be given an interview to determine suitability. This is required in order to insure your dog's safety, as well as the safety of all the dogs. You will need to fill out a personal profile sheet and must provide proof of Vaccinations. Your dog must be friendly and good around other dogs or he will not be accepted in the program.
Our doggie daycare fills up very fast. We have monthly calendars available for you to reserve the days your dog wants to come to daycare. Reservations may be made daily, weekly, monthly, or for the whole year. We can take last minute reservations if space is available. If you show up for daycare without calling first you will be turned away if we are full.
We require proof of 3 vaccinations. You may bring in a copy of your shot records or have your vet fax us a copy at (757) 426-6781. It must show expiration dates, reminder dates, or due dates.
Vaccinataions we require at Holly Ridge Manor
All dogs must have a collar on for safety and brought in the front office on a leash. No exception. We give all dogs a mid day snack, you can bring in some of his regular food or his favorite treats. Bring in a copy of his shot records every time he gets his shots updated. and dont forget your monthly reservation calendar.
